Norwegian Minister of International Development Dag-IngeUlstein Visits Kathmandu University
Media Club Nepal, Dhulikhel – Norwegian Minister of International Development Dag-IngeUlstein visited Kathmandu University (KU) in Dhulikhel, Kavre on November 5, 2019. The Minister was accompanied by Norwegian Ambassador to Nepal LasseBjørnJohannessenand other Norwegian dignitaries. The delegates were welcomed by KU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ram KanthaMakaju Shrestha, KU Registrar Prof. Dr. Subodh Sharma, KU Trustees, faculty and staff, and alumni of Norway-funded programs at KU.
During the visit, two KU faculty members associated with Norwegian universities briefed the Ministerand the delegates on: “KU-Norway Collaboration in Health Sector;” and “History of KU-Norway Support and Partnership.” After an interaction session with the welcoming party, the Minister touredthe Prof. Inge Johansen Engineering Block, an eponymous building named in honor of a Norwegian professor and long-time KU supporter, and KU’s Turbine Testing Lab (TTL).
